Bear Cross Dental Partnership –Attendance/ Lapsed Patient Policy

Purpose:
To maintain your NHS dental registration and continue receiving treatment at our practice.

Key Points:

  • Regular Attendance:
Attend your dental appointments regularly. If you cannot attend, cancel at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Book Next Appointment:
Before leaving the practice, book your next check-up (3, 6, 9, or 12 months ahead). Our team will remind you closer to the date.

  • Update Contact Details:
Keep your email and phone number current so we can contact you for reminders.

  • Assist Others:
Help care for family members by tracking their appointments and keeping their registration active.

  • If No Appointments Are Made:
If you do not book or attend appointments for two years, we will de-register you from NHS treatment.

  • De-registration:
Once de-registered, you cannot receive NHS treatment at our practice. To re-register, contact the NHS and join the waiting list. NHS waiting times may be long.
